“It’s not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it.”
Dorothy, “The Golden Girls”
Mother’s Day is this coming Sunday, May 12th. What are you doing to mark this day?
Whether you’re thinking of your own Mother, pausing in the midst of busy motherhood, you’re a new mother, or are trying to become a mother, Mother’s Day brings lots of emotion. The ability to give life and to raise the next generation isn’t a right, it’s a privilege. Women’s bodies are designed to give birth, and although some of us have to practice, we get fairly good at the juggling and joys of raising children. It isn’t long before we discover that life is a process and that a wonderful aspect of that is that we discover ourselves as we learn our roles as parents.
Of course, at Natal to Nest, we celebrate mothers and motherhood all year long, not just on this special day. Come here to nurture your own body while you prepare for motherhood, as well as to celebrate what your body has achieved. If you’re expecting, we invite you to attend Natal to Nest Prenatal Yoga! Our yoga class is appropriate for all trimesters with practitioners approval. Go to http://www.nataltonest.com/yoga/#prenatal to register. Daily class times are:
Tues. 7:00 PM
Thur. 5:15 PM
Sat. 9:00 AM
For those who are already mothers…come here to share your stories about motherhood while you get your body back in pre-pregnancy-shape. We don’t just do postnatal and mom/tot yoga (register at http://www.nataltonest.com/yoga), we offer educational classes on what to expect and how to handle this wonderful, but sometimes stressful time. Go to http://www.nataltonest.com/classes-and-workshops/postpartum-preparation/
Today…think of one story about being a mother that you are going to want to add to your family’s book of memories…and write it down.
